Step 1: Connect the wallet

  • Link your digital wallet to your Nexus account. Ensure you have a compatible wallet that supports the network of the LBP you are interested in.

Step 2: Understand LBP mechanics

  • Read through the educational materials provided on LBPs to understand the descending price auction model.

  • Review the terms of participation for the specific LBP, including any lock-up periods or vesting details.

Step 3: Research

  • Look into the project launching the LBP and assess its whitepaper, use case, team, and roadmap.

  • Determine your risk tolerance and how much you are willing to invest.

Step 4: Find a suitable LBP

  • Navigate through the list of upcoming and active LBPs on Nexus.

  • Choose an LBP that aligns with your investment criteria and interests.

Step 5: Participation Preparation

  • Monitor the pool: Keep an eye on the LBP's progress and price movement.

  • Based on the descending price mechanism, decide on a price point or time when you intend to buy into the LBP.

Step 6: Engage in the LBP

  • At your determined entry point, engage with the LBP by buying tokens directly through the platform.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.

Step 7: Post-Participation

  • Keep a record of your transaction, including the purchase price and the number of tokens received.

  • Stay updated with the project’s announcements post-LBP for information on token utility, additional rounds, or further instructions.

  • Upon the LBP's conclusion, you'll need to redeem your tokens. Simply executing the redeem function will transfer the actual tokens to your wallet.

Closing the LBP

While participants can initiate the pool's closure, this task is typically handled by the LBP creator. In most cases, you'll find that the pool has already been closed for you, allowing you to proceed directly to redeem your tokens.

❗️In the case of a hard-capped LBP, the close event could be initiated only by the LBP creator or users with whitelisted wallets.
